MIA ▪ Manuscripta Italica Allographica ▪ Italo-Romance Texts Written in non-Latin Characters from the Middle Ages to Modern Times

Objective: the project is aimed at (i) creating an open-access digital catalogue of all known allographic manuscript texts of Italo-Romance varieties, providing for each document a detailed description of its material, textual, paleographic and linguistic features, and (ii) contributing to (a) the advances in the knowledge of historical phonology and lexicography of the Italian language and (b) the mechanisms which underlie the allographic practices in a more
general perspective.

CWALM ▪ A lexical corpus-based model of Contemporary Written Arabic

GreekSchools ▪ The Greek philosophical schools according to Europe’s earliest ‘history of philosophy’: Towards a new pioneering critical edition of Philodemus’ Arrangement of the Philosophers

FLOS ▪ Florilegia Syriaca ▪ The Intercultural Dissemination of Greek Christian Thought in Syriac and Arabic in the First Millennium CE

Objective: the project was aimed at valorizing Syriac theological florilegia as knowledge and identity organizers for Syriac- and Arabic-speaking Christians within the complex cultural dynamics of the early Abbasid era; FLOS produced digital critical editions of a number of significant Syriac patristic florilegia of the 8th-10th centuries, studying how they were constructed and showing how they contributed to the development and conception of Syriac and Christian Arabic literature in early Abbasid Mesopotamia as well as to the interaction of Syriac Christians with each other and with the Islamic intellectual environment.

BDC ▪ Bellini Digital Correspondence

Objective: this software project, carried out as part of the multidisciplinary project BellinInRete ▪ Virtual Museum of Music, was aimed at creating the digital scientific edition of Vincenzo Bellini’s autograph letters preserved at the Civic Museum “Vincenzo Bellini” of Catania; BDC has been online since 2017, first as a prototype and subsequently as an image-based digital scientific edition, completely open source and open access, realized in accordance with the TEI guidelines and published with ISBN by CNR Editions since 2023.
