PRIN ‘CWALM’ Project Launch Event

The Launch Event of the PRIN project CWALM – A lexical corpus-based model of Contemporary Written Arabic will take place at the headquarters of the Free University of Languages ​​​​and Communication IULM in Milan, starting from 11:30 of Thursday 30 June 2022.
The project aims at creating a lexicographic resource for Contemporary Written Arabic that takes into account materials whose characteristics are found in real-world Arabic written texts, independent of a preliminary classification on the basis of their linguistic nature.
The project, co-funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research under the PRIN 2020 Funding Programme, boasts the participation of three Research Units: Roma Tre University, leaded by Prof. Giuliano Lancioni; National Research Council of Italy – Institute for Computational Linguistics “Antonio Zampolli”, leaded by Dr Ouafae Nahli; Free University of Languages ​​and Communication, leaded by Prof. Manuela Elisa Giolfo.
The event will be introduced by Prof. Giolfo and will be held by Prof. Lancioni, Principal Investigator of the project.
